Ask The Margarita Man... - by Austin's Margarita Man, Mike Laymon: Question: "Why don't you offer frozen drink machines that serve two flavors?" Answer: Really for two reasons. Most of the machines on the market that dispense two flavors are called "granita machines" (the kind you see at the corner store with the clear plastic bowls). Most of these machines are not built to withstand the wear and tear of moving around daily - they are easily damaged and require a lot of maintenance. Also they have very small refrigeration compressors which make them very slow to freeze and almost impossible to use outdoors during warm weather. Two flavor machines that are the same quality as our single flavor machines are too large to easily move around, plus they use more electricity than you typically have available at your home or office.
