A Surprising Fact About Margaritas
- from Mike Laymon, Austin's Margarita Man:
Question:  "What kind of salt should you use for Margaritas?"
Answer:  Salt is an important part of the "Margarita Experience"!  It is never put into the drink itself--it is used only on the rim of the Margarita glass.  We supply a salt-rimmer with our party packages, but you can simply pass a wedge of lemon or lime over the rim of an empty glass, then dip it into a container of salt.  Freshly ground sea salt or kosher salt is preferred because of the coarser-grain, plus they have no additives.  A box of kosher salt purchased at the grocery will last a very long time.
